This Privacy Policy explains how Hush, Inc. collects, uses, shares, and safeguards personal information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect information in the following categories:

A. Information you provide

• Account information (e.g., name, username, email, profile photo, and profile details you add).
• Content you create or upload (e.g., photos, reviews, ratings, comments, messages, saved places and lists).
• Support and feedback you submit (e.g., reports, surveys, or help requests).

B. Information collected automatically

• Usage data (e.g., features used, screens viewed, taps, and in-app interactions).
• Device and technical data (e.g., device type, OS/app version, language, time zone).
• Crash logs and diagnostics to improve reliability and performance.
• Location data (approximate or precise) if you grant permission, to show nearby places and improve recommendations. You can disable location anytime in device settings.

C. Information from third parties

• Place, map, and review providers may supply place details you request (e.g., name, address, coordinates, categories, ratings, photos) to power search and discovery features.
• If you choose to connect other services, we receive information you authorize them to share.
• Some third-party SDKs used in the app may collect data to provide their services (e.g., analytics, crash reporting). We disclose this in the App Store privacy details.

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Personalize suggestions, content, and social features.
• Enable core features like saved places, rooms/hangouts, and sharing.
• Analyze usage and perform debugging, analytics, and crash diagnostics.
• Communicate with you about updates, support, and security.
• Detect fraud, abuse, or harmful activity and enforce our Terms.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We may share information only as needed to run Hush:

• With service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., hosting, storage, analytics, customer support), under contractual privacy protections.
• With other users when you choose to post or share content or participate in social/group features. Your visibility depends on your settings and actions in the app.
• With third-party services you connect, only when you authorize the connection or sharing.
• With authorities or others if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity.

We do not use your data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising, as Apple defines “tracking.” If we ever introduce tracking, we will request your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before doing so.

• Access, update, or delete certain account information in app settings.
• Delete content you’ve posted where the feature is available.
• Control device permissions (location, camera, photos, notifications) in system settings.
• Opt out of marketing emails via unsubscribe links. Service emails may still be sent.
• Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (such as requesting access, correction, or deletion). Contact us to exercise them.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

The Service is not directed to children under 17, and you must be at least 17 years old to create an account or use Hush. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 17, we will delete it and take steps to disable the account.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data-protection laws, but we apply this policy and reasonable safeguards wherever data is processed.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (e.g., in-app notice or email). Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
